Abstract
Human spatial navigation is crucial for daily functioning and cognitive development. It mainly relies on the egocentric and allocentric systems with different developmental trajectories. This study presents a data-driven approach to quantify spatial navigation performance through eye movement pattern analysis. Using the Leiden Navigation Test (LNT) as our experimental framework, we extracted and analyzed multiple eye-tracking metrics to identify distinct visual signatures associated with different navigation strategies. Our correlation analysis revealed significant patterns linking eye movement metrics to landmark recognition, allocentric spatial processing, and path survey performance.

Hi, I’m Mobina, an M.Sc. mechatronics researcher passionate about non-invasive assessment of human cognitive performance. My work sits at the intersection of computer vision, biosignal analysis, and machine learning, developing multimodal frameworks that combine vision-based pose estimation, IMU motion capture, and eye tracking for interpretable behavioral analysis. I enjoy designing algorithms and experimental systems that connect mechatronic instrumentation with real-world cognitive assessment.
